Mapping based on airborne/spaceborne InSAR technology
The majority of studies focus on studying and developing practical technologies for surveying and mapping. Research topics include: InSAR technology, SAR orthorectification, speckle filtering, and other techniques for SAR process, such as aerial triangulation, stereo photogrammetry, image fusion, image interpretation, information extraction, and high-powered computing.
Mapping from polarimetric SAR is one of the latest research topics. By understanding the polarimetric scattering mechanism, it is possible to analyze and extract polarimetric signatures for land cover classification in a more precise way. With the use of scattering matrix, the integration of polarimetric responses can be made, to get best contrast of objects and analyze the characteristic of polarimetric responses of ground objects. As a result, much better classification accuracy can be achieved.
