Professor Christine Pohl from University of Osnabrückcame,Germany came to CASM and gave

On July 6th, Geographical Condition Monitoring Research Center of CASM invited Professor of Osnabruck University, Christine Pohl to CASM to give an academic report. Wu Lan, vice president of CASM met Professor Christine Pohl, Division of Science and Technology, Key Laboratory of Geo-Informatics of State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping and Institute of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing students took part in the report meeting.
Professor Chrisitine Pohl gave a report on Standardization Efforts and Trends in Remote Sensing Image Fusion, introduced various methods of remote sensing image fusion and its application in different fields. And a large number of statistical data were presented from the aspects of method, application, sensor and publication. And he analyzed the current status of the development of image fusion in-depth, and pointed out the latest development trend and research direction. The content of the report was rich, full of facts and photographs, having great reference value and enlightening significance. Professor Christine Pohl interacted with the attendees, and answered the relevant issues raised by attendees.
It’s said that Professor Christine Pohl is the well-known expert in remote sensing image and data fusion field. In 1996, he gained the (ITC)doctorate of remote sensing from University of Hannover and Holland Institute of international space measurement and earth, and he was once the eputy director of the research department of the European Union Satellite Centre, Madrid, Spain.
