The project of Spatial extension monitoring of provincial capital cities has been accepted

September 13th, Department of National Land Survey of National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation held the acceptance meeting for 2014 Important National Geographic Conditions Monitoring project of spatial extension monitoring of provincial capital cities at the Chinese Surveying and Mapping Innovation Base. Director of Department of National Land Survey Bai Guixia, deputy director Tian Haibo attended the meeting. Vice president of CASM Liu Jiping, related technicians from the project team, and responsible persons and technical backbones from 5 other project undertaking units attended the meeting.
Experts from National Development and Reform Commission P.R.C, Department of Urban and Rural Planning of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural development of PRC, China Land Surveying and Planning, China Academy of Urban Planning and Design, The National Geomatics Center of China and Beijing Institute of Surveying and Mapping have reviewed and audited the projects.
On the meeting, as the project lead unit, CASM made detailed report on project tasks and objectives, organization and implementation, results, conclusions and recommendations.
On the meeting, acceptance expert group believed the project to have completed 4 periods of urban space expansion monitoring in more than 31 provincial capital cities and 27 cities, forming rich monitoring and statistical analysis results, reports and maps with reliable results quality, which can provide spatial information support for urban planning, construction, ecological civilization construction and land spatial pattern optimization.
