The project “Key technologies for the maintenance of the global dynamic coordinate reference frame” of 863 program has been accepted

August 29th, an acceptance meeting for the project “Key technologies for the maintenance of the global dynamic coordinate reference frame” of 863 program undertaken by CASM was held in Chinese Surveying and Mapping Innovation Base. Chief expert of the project, Academician Yang Yuanxi attended the meeting. As the leader of the acceptance group, researcher Zhou Jianhua from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics presided over the meeting, and experts from Ministry of science and technology, Tsinghua University, Wuhan University, Remote Sensing Center of Ministry of Land and Resources and National Astronomical Observatories of China (NAOC) attended the meeting.
On the meeting, project director, president of CASM Cheng Pengfei gave detailed report and demonstrated research results such as earth rotation parameter prediction, distributed computing and the positioning and orbit determination of the Beidou System. And 3 books, 7 invention patents, 8 software copyright registrations, 156 papers (83 SCI/EI) and a series of award certificates. Acceptance expert group listened to the report and carefully reviewed the project acceptance materials and results. After questioning, the expert group considered the project to be successfully completed, fulfilling the requirements of the evaluation indexes. As a result, they all agreed the project to be accepted.
This project met the National demand for high precision global dynamic reference frame maintenance, and the research results can provide service and technical support for our reference coordinate frame refinement, development and application of Beidou satellite navigation system, the earth dynamics research, regional resources development, disaster prevention and mitigation.
