Scholars from Malaysian Polytechnic University visited CASM and signed Academic Cooperation Agreement

On 5th Dec., 2012, Prof. Mazlan Hashim, Dir. of Geo-Spatial Science and Technology Institute(GSTI) of Malaysian Polytechnic University(UTM), accompanyied by other two scholars, visited CASM and signed academic cooperation agreement, which will promote the collaborative research and personal exchange between two sides in the field of surveying, mapping and geographic information. Pres. Zhang Jixian and vice Pres. Yan Qin attended the signing ceremony, and the concerned persons from the Dep. of Science and Technology also attended the reception.
After the signing ceremony, Mazlan Hashim and others also visited ZhongceXintu (Beijing) Remote Sensing Technology Co. Ltd. They learned about the low altitude UAV remote sensing system, national geographic emergency monitoring vehicles, tilting cameras and other products.
UTM was established in March 1972, committed to high education in science, engineering, technology and construction fields. UTM is a renowned university in Malaysia, ranking in Top 30 in Asia. GSTI is one of the twenty-six institutes/centers of the University, and its main task is to provide geospatial information technology products and services for social institutes and organizations.
